Product is somewhat as described: I am not buying the 550lb Max load. If I load it with about 70kg (about 150lb), so not even 1/4th of the maximum loading capacity, I get a probably 50cm stretch on a 4m loop of rope.. I tested till 90kg and holds it (if you can live with great amounts of stretch and the feeling the rope will snap anytime), but it gives me the feeling the rope would snap at about 100kg (or about 220lb). For loads up to 30-40 kg, the stretch will be OK. For any higher load, save your money and buy a decent rope. This is ok rope, but not a rope you want to depend on. As a sidenote: the mantle seems too big for the core. I've never seem paracord use a mantle that's so loose. It's a fair rope for loads up to 40 kg, but it's not pats cord suited to handle 200kg... not by far... |
